Parental Leave

Parental Leave Act 1998 gives each parent the entitlement to 14 weeks unpaid leave before the child reaches 5 years of age.

Force Majeure Leave- in addition it provides for paid leave- 3 days/ 12 months or 5 days/ 36 months for urgent family reasons.

Carer’s Leave

Carer’s Leave Act 2001, under defined conditions, employee is entitled to 65 weeks leave to provide full-time care to a ‘relevant’ person.
